Today I was in my car and I heard a Christmas song being played in
the background! I have to admit I got overly excited about it but it did get me
thinking about what I'm looking forward most to this Christmas so I thought I
would share a few of these things with you!
Are you as excited as I am for Christmas
already?
I have a list as long as you could imagine so I am only going to
mention a few things that make me really happy that Christmas is coming! I bet
you'll agree with me for the majority of them!
The first thing I'm looking forward to is the Christmas lights!
Even though the night gets noticeably darker which sucks, the lights lift up my
spirits! I love going to see the lights turning on as its such a magical a
moment! This year I'm going to a light switch on show, its in a few weeks and
I'm so excited! Are you going to see any Christmas lights this year?
The second thing I always look forward to is the cosy nights by
the fire! I love to sit with a hot chocolate watching a Christmas movie (I think
i watch way too many Christmas movies but then again you can never get enough
Christmas movies!) I especially love the polar express, I used to watch it over
and over when I was younger and i still love it to this day!
The final thing im going to share with you today is the recipe for my all time favourite fall drink, a Pumpkin Spiced Latte! I was inspired by this drink from Starbucks, and after trying it and loving it I couldnt wait to make it myself! I was also inspired from a few recipes from around the web, I tried hard to make a Pumkin Spiced Latte that was my own - Im not a chef but i have to admit it tastes just as good as Starbucks!
Pumpkin Spiced Latte
You will need :
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 tablespoon of sugar (I sometimes find I have to add more to taste)
- 1 tablespoon of Pumpkin Puree
- 1 tablespoon of pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla essence
- 1/4 cup brewed espresso
I take my pan off the heat and pour my mixture through a sieve. After I put it back onto the heat and allow it to simmer whisking for two minutes. I finally add espresso and whisk until foamy!
My favourite part is to then pour my drink into my favourite Christmas mug and top with whipped cream!
